Healthcare Providers Payment Tracking System

A Silverlight application built for GlaxoSmithKline of Chile that brings uniformity and visibility to promotional and educational medical events and expenditures. HPPTS tracks a wide range of information, including speakers and sponsored invitees and their travel and lodging arrangements, line-item tracking of planned versus actual costs, and brand sponsorship. HPPTS also automates approval processes, includes email alerts, and provides a series of aggregate and statistical reports.

A Silverlight-based system for collecting and analyzing information about homeless people. It complies with federal HUD HMIS data-gathering requirements and policies. HMISLive! has recently been chosen by HUD grantees as the HMIS software to use by all shelters and direct-service organizations in Puerto Rico. Version 1 of this system (under the name SiMiHogar) was operational for 4 years at about 80 locations. It gives the user the feel and speed of a desktop application but with all the benefits of a web system.

Job Matching System (SEO)

The first government-sponsored public web system in Puerto Rico for helping people find jobs and for employers to post open positions. SEO offers both types of users the ability to create detailed profiles and is able to perform automatic matching of candidates to open positions based on a variety of profile information. It also includes several types of alerts to employers about new candidates for their positions and to candidates about new open positions. For administrators, the system includes graphical reports that classify the types of open jobs and the education and experience of registered candidates.

Mobile Sales System (MPMobile)

A Windows Mobile-based system that has significantly shortened the sales and delivery cycle and reduced paperwork overload. MPMobile allows salespersons to obtain the latest price and inventory information from a centralized database, create orders, and transmit client orders back to the centralized database. It works in offline mode, connecting through web services when data synchronization is required. MPMobile as built for a renowned auto parts distributor.

WIA Training Provider Registration System

Web-based system for the end-to-end management of the eligibility process for providers of training services under the Workforce Information Act (WIA). For the 2004-2005 eligibility-determination period—-the first time the system was used—-it allowed for the compilation of the WIA Eligible Provider List on schedule for the first time ever. It is currently in its fifth successful season.

Speakers Tracking System (STS)

Award-winning web-based system for planning and tracking educational and promotional activities for a major pharmaceutical corporation. STS automates several processes and has allowed for better compliance with government and corporate policies. The system includes functionality to automatically notify users when business-critical events occur. In the GlaxoSmithKline World Congress of Medical Directors in 2006, STS was selected among the top three worldwide projects and recognized with a Special Award.

WIA Client Management System

Web-based, case-management system for clients of the Workforce Information Act (WIA). Built to comply with federal data-gathering requirements, including a sophisticated performance analysis subsystem. The system serves users in all 78 municipalities of Puerto Rico. This system has been operational for 8 years, and in 2007 went through a complete rewrite, in which new federal requirements were integrated and .NET technology was used.

Silverlight-based prototype system for managing the process of land acquisition for the government agency in charge of building roads in Puerto Rico. It encompasses everything from the identification of lots and their appraisals to the vital legal information for each acquisition case. Built with the latest web technology, it gives the user the feel and speed of a desktop application but with all the benefits of a web system.

WIA Rapid Response System

Web-based system for managing all information related to the support services that the government of Puerto Rico gives to companies that close operations and to their dislocated workers. It gathers extensive company and worker profiles, manages service schedules, and provides statistical reports. Also, it contains a subsystem to generate resumés for the workers based on their profiles and for supporting the relocation of workers. Finally, it offers a seamless integration with the WIA Client Management System (see above).

Easy Payments

Web-based system for automating the process of making payments to clients of the Workforce Investment Act (WAI) who are already registered in the WIA Client Management System. EasyPayments provides an electronic link between it and MIP so that double-data entry is not necessary. With EasyPayments clients are paid sooner, less errors are committed recording payment information, and staff-time is reduced.
